January Navigational Scatter

Postponed until further notice due to lack of entries

Friday, 24 Jan, 19.30 | The Stag, Challock

The club is running a navigational scatter event on Friday 24h January starting

and finishing at The Stag Inn, Challock. You will need OS map 189 and a MSUK

RS Clubman licence. The event consists of a number of 8 figure map references,

for each of which a simple question is posed for you to write the answer to provide proof of having visited it. Each location has a value and the winner is the crew gaining the biggest number of points. Full regulations are available below.

Signing on will begin at 19.30 and finish at 19.50 at The Stag. There will be a crew

briefing at 19.50 after which route instructions will be available. Cars may leave

at 20.00 and must be back at the finish by 22.00, after which penalties will apply.

Any car not back by 22.15 will be deemed to have retired. Fuel to drive about 60

miles should be carried. Crews are required to plan and plot their own route.

Entries should be made via the club website and the entry fee is £10 per car. The

event is suitable for beginners, novices and experts. It is a good opportunity to

get some plotting and map reading practice at the beginning of the year’s

competition. Organiser is Peter Boyce and if you have any queries please make contact to pandjboyce@btinternet.com .
